  • Rajeshwari Prasad is the Vice-President and Assistant Director. She received her MSW from University of Southern California. Since 2011, she has been actively working with underserved communities—first, as a victim advocate for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault at Empower Yolo, and then, in varying roles with hospice patients at Kaiser and Mercy Hospice and homeless people who have mental health challenges at TLCS, Inc. At USC, she shifted her focus to social policy and program development, which resulted in an eight month-long internship at the National Association of Social Workers, California Chapter. There, she assisted Rebecca Gonzales, Director of Government Relations, in tracking, analyzing, and advocating for legislation that is supported and shaped by social work values. In her free time, she loves reading and rereading books by Khalid Hosseini and tending to her rose garden. She currently resides in Sacramento, California, with her five chirpy cockatiels and three goldfishes.
