OUR VISION

Our vision is to shape the academic future of all youth in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Organization Summary (About GOFY)

Gimie’s Organization for Youth (GOFY) is a nonprofit organization established in 2015. Founded by a group of social workers, we are foremost guided by social work principles and the social workers’ code of ethics. Like the mother of social work, Jane Addams, we also desire the help and support of our community and its members. Our efforts to gain insight from the community will include collaboration with local school districts, and also non-government and government agencies.

To effectively achieve our vision, our youth programs are catered to specific age groups, ranging from ages 9-21. Our programs include internships, peer mentoring, leadership training, community-based research projects, and career and self-development.

Our programs are centered around the strengths of youth. We believe that each youth, regardless of circumstance, possesses several strengths that can be used to self-empower.

GOFY, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
